BOSTON'S SUNBURNED HAND OF THE MAN announce their first national USAtour since their 1998 trip supporting JOHN FAHEY and NO NECK BLUESBAND. Since that last journey SUNBURNED has grown in popularity incertain underground circles as a result of self-released CDR's, smalllabel vinyl only gems, and well focussed full length CD releases onwell respected, off the path, underground labels such as ECLIPSE,SPIRIT OF ORR, and BASTET (the label arm of ARTHUR MAGAZINE).Along withseveral press outlets chiming in about SUNBURNED, they were alsofeatured on a few magazine covers - most notably last year's issue ofthe WIRE MAGAZINE where DAVID KEENAN laid out his treatise on THE NEWWEIRD AMERICA.

The band's most recent CD release is their eponymous album originallyreleased as a limited 'bootleg' LP made from tapes supposedly stolenfrom band's headquarters in Charlestown, MA. The vinyl version was metwith such excitement that WABANA RECORDS of VERMONT re-released it as apart of their 'release the vinyl' campaign (other CDs in the seriesthus far include legendary blowouts from WOLF EYES and ACID MOTHERSTEMPLE) along with an additional bonus track provided by the band.

The live experience has been a double attack with supportingappearances on tours with band's such as SONIC YOUTH, SUNN0))), COMETSON FIRE, JULIAN COPE, FOUR TET, SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE, SUNBURNEDHAND OF THE MAN has also reached overseas with several tours of EUROPEand the UNITED KINGDOM. This USA tour will be bringing the added punchof the amazing MAGIK MARKERS. Truly, this will be the TOUR OF THE YEARfor everyone.
